The Story Behind House of Evangeline
Thank you so much for visiting my website!
House of Evangeline began in 2025, sparked by a small moment during Christmas at my family home. Mum’s bathroom looked beautiful, styled with perfectly matching towels, the only issue was that my brother, his girlfriend, my boyfriend and I all had identical ones… and no idea whose was whose!
I joked, “We should put little emblems on them so we can tell them apart.”
Mum replied, “Love it! But how?”
That was all the encouragement I needed. I did some research, picked up advice from a work friend, bought an embroidery machine and completely fell in love.
At first, I stitched anything I could get my hands on: tea towels, pillowcases, bookmarks, if it didn’t move, it probably got embroidered. When I ran out of things at home, I started creating pieces for friends and family. The ideas (and orders!) kept coming, and before I knew it, House of Evangeline was born.
A Little About Me
I grew up in a small countryside village, and I’ve always been drawn to the slower pace, creativity, and thoughtfulness that come with it. That love for intentional living still shapes everything I do today.
I come from a background in marketing and now split my time between part-time charity work and embroidery. What started almost by accident became something I genuinely love, a way to turn ideas into carefully stitched pieces that feel personal and lasting.
I’m especially drawn to bold or unusual embroidery requests. They ask a little more thought and problem-solving, but that challenge is part of what I enjoy most.
